COVID-19 took a toll on shipping schedules and prices, and the industry is still recovering. By shipping from its factory in Central America, Universal:

- Because Universal modules are made in the Americas, they are not subject to the tariffs or tariff threats affecting Asian modules. In fact, Panama has a free-trade agreement with the U.S. that facilitates trade between the countries.
- Universal’s silicon is sourced from outside of Hoshine, China, so our modules are not subject to the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol’s Withhold Release Order (WRO), or the associated delays and concerns.
